Anyway, a very beautiful landscape… Many people do not believe in the Climatic Change, but at this time we should have snow in some of our mountains in Spain, and that is not happening yet.

Wonderful photo and nice blog indeed. We don’t have yet snowfall in Germany, I agree climate change has bad impacts and its due us as we are polluting this beautiful earth.

I agree with Rochonf, very beautiful!

It had never occured to me that it snowed there.

Here in the central valley of California we may get a few snow flurries every couple of years, but in the Sierra’s the snow pack often is over 20 feet.

This snow pack provides the water for all of the agriculture and cities during the year.

Future predictions are that the elevation of lowest snowfall will keep rising with many more warm storms on top of a dwindling snow pack. This will cause the water to be lost to the ocean in the proccess of flood control.

Dire results for agriculture arte on the horizon.

Ah! A very important picture. I must link it to Iran Facts 😉

    Is it cold, Homeyra?

I haven’t seen an Iranian winter in ages!

And no no snow in our belle provence encore! But BC’s been whited out 🙂

That’s true Muslimah, this is what I call a useful “hijab” 🙂 I like snow’s silence.
Yes Naj, it is cold. If you click on the picture it will take you to a website with many other great photos.
Hi Bluebear, longtime 🙂 We haven’t had a serious winter since at least 15 years. Teheran is over 1100 meter above sea level. Yes Kamangir, seems this ugly city is our “product”! We cannot totally hate it 🙂
If it doesn’t snow in Spain, Germany, Montreal … you are all welcome to a snowball party in Teheran 🙂

    Homeyra,

These immaculate mountains in the distance and that Californeastern vintage 70s architecture remind me of the Lebanon of my early childhood…before the snow turned to red…

“And no no snow in our belle provence encore! But BC’s been whited out” [The Ad-less Naj from Quebecistan]

    Hmm…
I’m afraid it’s “La Belle Province”, for Provence is located in the South-East for France
    ;))

I have never been to Lebanon, but plane to Europe used to stop in Beirut. I have this childhood memory of this great view of tiled roofs on a hill, and the sea. Lebanon was THE cultural center of the area. Many Iranians used to go there to the university. We also lost this beautiful city…
    Quebecistan! 🙂
