Mehrdad Sadri, born 1952, has a BS degree in Chemistry from the National University of Iran and MS degree in organic chemistry from the California State Polytechnic University. He has started collecting Iranian stamps from the age of 8.

To help saving the diminishing popularity of the Iranian philately, I have decided to get involved more seriously by discussing and writing articles explaining various Iranian forgeries and how to detect and distinguish them. I have conducted several seminars by invitation from the Iranian Philatelic Study Circle and other societies and have published my works and studies in several books, papers, and articles … Also I have tried to publicize the Iranian philately through my website which I am hoping to expand it furthermore.” Notes on the Experts

    ِِDear Saa
Sorry to have deleted you comment, I do that from time to time… and mainly those of friends. Your inquiry was above my knowledge and the scope of this blog.
I really do enjoy your visit and comments, and I hope this won’t deter you to write again over here 🙂

    Hi Homie, Naj,

Re: a completely unrelated topic- but isn’t life the mere accumulation of seemingly chaotic digressions as an old sage/ustaz once remarked? 😉

Have you read: “Wrestling with Zion” a book published in 2003- edited by Tony Kushner and Alisa Salomon?

It has magnificent essays by (among others- I’m only mentioning my personal favorites) Joel Beinin, Seth Ackerman, Michael Staub, Phyllis Bennis and Marc Ellis.

Rarely have I read something so sharp and witty.

    About America.

    About Israel.

    About the Middle-East.

Or about any other subject for that matter.

The fact that this book was published precisely at the apex of the jingoistic Mechugas of the “War on Terror/Ayy-raq/Ayy-rabz” makes it prophetically powerful.

A shining example of what resolute contrarianism and uninhibited brains can produce.

    🙂
    Unrelated topics!
That’s the story of my E-life!
To be frank I am not “that” interested in philatelic but some how me voila, having great fun, between 2 meetings, to research on the subject… and it is fascinating.
Now… pay me to do so… then it would be another story.
    I AM the unrelated topic.
No, I haven’t read this book. I will search the web right now. I have seen a few stamps about wrestling … I guess this won’t count.
    et j’Update: 366.000 entries!
