😆 I love The Yes Men. Great to see you’re on to them. For a treat, I screened their movie to one of my international relations relations seminars last year. It was a hoot, with everyone laughing their heads off at how they tricked people into thinking one of them was a bona fide World Bank (or WTO) spokesman, and the real kicker is the space-y looking worksuit with built in console that resembles a giant penis that one of them wears to a conference. See the dvd cover here for a visual: http://theyesmen.org/movie/

    Hilarious!

    🙂
This wiki article relates many many funny stuff, such as:
On June 14, 2007, the Yes Men acted during Canada’s largest oil conference in Calgary, Alberta, posing as ExxonMobil and National Petroleum Council (NPC) representatives. In front of more than 300 oilmen, the NPC was expected to deliver the long-awaited conclusions of a study commissioned by U.S. Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman. The NPC is headed by former ExxonMobil CEO […]

In the actual speech, the “NPC rep” announced that current U.S. and Canadian energy policies […] are increasing the chances of huge global calamities. But he reassured the audience that in the worst case scenario, the oil industry could “keep fuel flowing” by transforming the billions of people who would die into oil…!

Great links at the end. The is also this page in their site gathering all the articles about their stunts!
As you wrote: Absolutely Hilarious🙂 They are my heroes now.

…and still they do a better job than the real thing… much more serious group than our government.

    🙂 I guess you are right 99.
Imagine the fun if they invite Yes Men on political TV programs. I would hire them if I was in charge.

I’m glad you like it! Indeed, The Yes Men is now one of anumber of films I want to screen once I’ve got around to watching them.

Of course, you’re welcome to join as a contributor and “air” it yourself😉

Hi Michael, thx for your visit.
I am very jealous of you! These guya must be something: to do that sort of thing in front of all that crowd without laughing…
No network has thought of hiring them? How disappointing!
