Forever Under Construction

New Day

Posted in Iran by homeyra on March 20, 2009

Nowruz again, at precisely 3.14 pm. This age old ceremony celebrates the renewal of life and hope.

Right at the end of the year my camera and hard disk both died, now I must include the renewal of all things electronic to the Nowruz ritual.

Here is the message from President Obama, well in the spirit of Nowruz. (h/t to Another Irani Online).

Maybe a New Day means an era beyond carrots and sticks.

Happy new year to all!

Update: Obama’s Nowruz message reviewed by P U L S E

Well, it was a very suave gesture to make you that Nowruz greeting. We shall see if he can walk the walk, but he’s such a pushover for the thugs, I have heavy doubts he can deliver anything but thin air.

    Beware, beware.

And my wishes are already bigger than even celestial holidays… so…. xoxoxox

    Norouz mobarak!

Obama is definitely “cool,” and I think he means well, but I hope he’s able to do all he says he wants to!
