    There’s an element of self fulfilling prophecy, which is a Persian parallax of the Greek conception of hubris. One creates problems out of ones imagination while the consequences of our actions look very similar to the fear of which we dreamed.

    Ferdowsi seems to inspire many people. Here is another Ferdowsi parallel.

    I just felt the need to share this after seeing the statue of Ferdowsi in Ferdowsi Square.

    I left Iran in 83 and the last time I saw my dad was in Ferdowsi Square; he died four years later in 87. I was 19 when I left Iran. I feel so sad to see all these young students getting hurt during these protests. They remind me of myself as a 15 year old during 1979 revolution.
