Yes, it’s a nice comparison, but there is a big difference, Khatami came with a very beautiful beliefe, “Reform”, without any road map. But Obama, as much as I know, has come with a great and detailed one.
Although, this doesn’t mean that I don’t believe in Khatami, rather say I like him very much and think he can be a good choice now. With a good experience of those 8 years.
Obama isn’t living up to anything he promised and is clearly at sea about what to do.
And, no matter what happens, I think Ahmadinejad has been the world leader with the most heart and up there with the leftists in South America in terms of courage… even though he doesn’t get to be a leader in the same sense they do. I think he’s done a great job with the worse than nothing he’s had to go on.

Hi Boogi Thanks. It seems to me that both candidates represent hope, and both have to struggle with well established interest. Obviously all that happen in a more organized way in one case.

That Moyers interview you posted 99 shows well the internal “defense” mechanism. Anyway I know that I don’t have a political instinct to have a sound assessment of tactics.
